Numbers game

by Vila H.

At about the time I was having my last drink of the evening, the little counter at the bottom of this blog rolled over to 50,000.  That’s 50,000 page views, or about 37,000 unique visits, which is, in either case, a hell of a lot more than I ever thought I’d get.

To mark the occasion, I’ve added a new page to the list on the right, which I’ve reluctantly titled “Anthology.”  They’re not necessarily the best posts I’ve written, although a few of them might be, and they’re likely not the ones that have had the widest appeal, though the sex ones do seem to go over well.

What they are, I will venture, are the posts that are the most unreservedly “me”–the ones that surged past my internal censors and my stagefright and my misplaced sense of propriety to say something that I still feel is honest, in a voice I have come to recognize as my own.

With luck, there’s more where they came from.  In the meantime, thanks for reading along.
