“Don’t be diverted by the ground noise”

That’s what John McCain said when Code Pink protesters interrupted his convention speech tonight.  Good thing I’m writing a dissertation about this.

And while we’re on the subject of protests, a few data points about the continuing crackdown:

As of today, more than 300 protesters are being held by St. Paul police.

According to the Sheriff, the arrests were necessary to prevent “acts of terror,” including, allegedly: kidnapping delegates, sabotaging a local airport, damaging bridges and taking over federal buildings.  Sure.

At least eight of the protesters have been charged with “conspiracy to riot in furtherance of terrorism” and face up to eight years in prison.

The protesters are the first individuals ever to be charged under Minnesota’s version of the 2002 federal PATRIOT Act.

So, to review: People who engage in political protest are terrorists.  Also, Code Pink rocks.

Code pink was the highlight of the speech. The rest was hypocrisy. Down with the lies and distortion. Down with the two-party system! Ground noise is what America needs. Stand up, speak out!

    1. aren’t protesters americans? i’m pretty sure they are registered voters.

    2. isn’t the right to peaceful protest protected under the first amendment?

isn’t it rude and condescending to refer to members of the american public, registered voters as ground noise and static?

is this a preview to the type of president mc cain will be? if he doesn’t like what he is hearing he will just have you removed?

If you google Bolsonon’s comment you’ll see he’s posted the exact same comment on at least three other blogs. Unimaginative loser.
